SATURDAY'S COVER(ed) # 4

OH YEAH! A giaganourmous Vampire creature thingie!!! Plus who doesn't love violet on album jackets?
When I moved from Fort Wayne to Wichita in November of 1975 (still miss you bookman187) the song "Love Hurts" was ubiquitous on AM radio (the only kind my Ford Pinto could get) as well as FM. I liked it a lot, but not enough to buy the album HAIR OF THE DOG. I have since picked up the Cd and am glad I did. Nazareth is (was) a fine blues/funk/ROCK outfit from blustery Scotland.

This is just a terrific drawing. Though a "tad" cartoonish (IT'S FOR A ROCK BAND) it's almost got a bit of a Lovecraft vibe going (giant unspeakable et al)

The hit song in question was written by Boudleaux Bryant and first had success with the one-and-only Ray Orbison! My own favorite version is by Miss Emmylou Harris & Gram Parsons (on Grievous Angel).

But I'm giving you a fun version to listen to if you're so inclined....with even a bit of DISCO in the middle.
